Smoky Hill Senior! Dominique C.

I say it every year…but the class of 2015 are cool kids, really cool!  One reason I love senior photography is that meeting these young adults keeps me inspired, optimistic and excited about our future.  Dominique is probably one of the most polite and respectful young men that I have ever worked with.   He just “gets it”  and his wisdom is recognized as soon as you meet him.   His mom, who I also connected with immediately, has raised an amazing son.   Her enormous heart made me feel like I had known her and the family for years as close friends.  And there is no doubt about it, she has bestowed her genuineness to her son.    Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to meet you both and capture someone who is on the brink of a brilliant future!

Parker Colorado Engagement: Ryan and Megan

On a perfect late summer day, Megan and Ryan wrapped each other up in their love and I, the lucky photographer, was able to capture such sweet moments between these two love birds as they fell effortlessly into each others arms.

Ryan, who is currently serving our country, was home on leave and though they knew that soon he would return to a foreign land and be apart from his sweet Megan, the session was fun, light-hearted and they were up for anything!  The wedding, which will take place next summer, will be filled with joy and celebration as they rejoice in his return and begin their life together.

Mason, Cherry Creek High School Senior Class of 2014…Cherry Creek High School Senior Photographer

Over the past few years I have had the pleasure to get to know several of the Cherry Creek Wrestlers and their families.   Seeing them progress in their wrestling careers has been so inspiring as they have reached many milestones and achievements.  The work that the guys put into the workout, competing as well as their academic studies gives new meaning to hard work!

Additionally, I have also been able to get to know many of the families who cheer on their wrestlers from the sidelines and provide much needed support, good meals as well as helping to promote the wrestling team!  Jen Harms, mom to Mason, puts in many hours putting together wrestling events as well as creating the yearly program that is sold to the alumni and the wrestling team.  Its not an easy task–but she does all this effortlessly with out missing a match, dual or tournament to see her son Mason wrestle!

One other cool thing about Jen is she owns Messy Art Lady  which offers to coolest art classes for kids.  Izzy participated in the Watercolor class over the summer and she loved it.  She asks me weekly when the next class will be, and why can’t she go to art class everyday!   I highly recommend it for any budding artist out there!

Cherokee Trail, 2014 Senior-Chelsea-Denver Senior Photographer

Meet Chelsea!  Chelsea, a senior at Cherokee Trail High School was so sweet to work with.  We had such a good time…first in a green and pastural meadow and then in the city streets.   Though the weather in Colorado has been difficult at times for senior photos this year, we were able to work around it and had a blast doing it!  Thanks Chelsea, I had so much fun working with you and I know you are going to have an AMAZING senior year!

Megan you are Absolutely Gorgeous!  The beauty and confidence that you display is breathtaking.   I loved every minute of this session!

Getting to know this Smoky Hill Senior was most fun…we even got caught in the rain (a couple of times),I almost stepped on a snake (and about fainted) but most of all hanging out this sweet young women was the highlight!  During our session chatted about all sorts of things and I always feel so blessed when I walk away.  Megan, no doubt, has beauty, but her soul is what makes her beautiful. When you look past the outward beauty and you see the hope and optimism, the plans the ideas and the generosity they want to share with the world, that is being beautiful.  It is that which can’t be imitated.  I see it in my seniors all the time–truly this, and this alone, is really why I love what I do.  Have a great year senior year Megan!
